Katrina H. Walsh, MD
Katrina Walsh, M.D. is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist practicing for 25 years in Plano, Texas. She respects and treats women at all stages of life and believes in establishing long-term, personalized relationships with her patients. As a mother of three, she understands the needs of a busy lifestyle and uses the most innovative surgical approach for her patients so they can get back to life. With a heart greater than the state of Texas, Dr. Walsh cares for each and every woman who walks through her doors.
Dr. Walsh offers a variety of services between Obstetrics and Gynecology including, complete obstetrical care, women's wellness exams, infertility consultations, Natural Family Planning, and menopausal consultations. She is one of the few surgeons who has been trained in Advanced Robotic Surgery procedures—minimally invasive procedures such as robotic hysterectomy, hysteroscopy with D. & C. , LEEP, and diagnostic laparoscopy. Dr. Walsh is also a certified aesthetic practitioner through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Her office includes a separate med-spa offering laser hair removal, Juve-derm, botox, peels, vein reduction, and age spot minimization services.
Repeatedly ranked the Top 100 OB/GYNs in the state of Texas, Dr. Walsh has also won Patient's Choice Award four years in a row from 2008-2012, and again in 2014. She received the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award from 2010-2012, and 2014. Dr. Walsh is board certified by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a nonprofit organization of women's health care physicians advocating highest standards of practice, and has been listed in the Plano Profile repeatedly as one of the top physicians in North Texas.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Seattle, Washington, Dr. Walsh received her Bachelor's of Science in biology at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She went on to study medicine at the University of Tennessee, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and completed her residency at University of Texas, Galveston. After practicing in low-income clinics across Texas, and serving as a healthcare professional in the state penitentiary system, Dr. Walsh was offered a job in north Texas and moved to Plano. She then established her own practice: Women’s Care. Dr. Walsh spends most of her time with her three daughters—Kaylee, Hannah, and Matty—and chasing after her three beloved dogs.

Sonogram Technician, RMDS
Dixie McCain was born in Wichita, Kansas and majored in sonography at Wichita State University. She trained at Wesley School of Radiology and has worked in obstetric sonography in North Texas for 30 years, and at Women's Care for 17. Dixie is married with three children.
Beth Evans was born in Texarkana, and attended nursing school at Texarkana College. She worked for several years as an LVN in a hospital clinic in East Texas before joining Women's Care medical team. Beth has been on staff 15 years, and has one daughter, Emily.
Tarah Brown was born in Richardson, and attended school at Sanford Brown College. She worked for several years as a MA in the OB/GYN field before joining Women's Care. She has been on Dr. Walsh’s team at Women’s Care Texas for the past 3 years.
Kathy Schmidt was born in Dallas, and raised in Mesquite. She graduated Skyline Nursing school in 1978 then worked as an LVN at an OB/GYN practice in Dallas for several years before joining Dr. Walsh’s team 24 years ago. Kathy is the office manager, coordinating office staff, scheduling and billing. Kathy is married, and has one daughter.

Bonni Brown was born in Kentucky, but raised in our great state of Texas. Prior to coming to Women's Care, she worked at North Texas Heart Center. In 2004, she began working for Dr. Walsh and has now been a part of the team for over 15 years.
Rosa Shafiey was born Jalisco, Mexico and attended Collin College to become a certified nursing assistant. She's held a myriad of jobs across Texas and came to Women's Care 18 years ago. Rosa is married with four children and seven grandchildren.
